A lesson on Volume of 3D Shapes, starting with cuboids and progressing up to triangular prisms and cylinders. There are activities built in which support the lessons. In addition to this, there is a worksheet to help support pupils who need more practice on the topic. Questions are all provided within the powerpoint and some are taken from Tristan Jones excellent worksheets he provides on TES (see below). A lesson I have adapted from other TES users over the years. This lesson begins with a problem and an interactive GIF to demonstrate Pythagoras theorem visually. There are some superb activities here and problems to make students think carefully about applying Pythagoras theorem in different contexts. It is up to you to explore and deepen pupils understanding! A worksheet that I also made which increases steadily in difficulty is attached. Please use, share and let me know what you think.
