KS4 Solving Simultaneous Equations (with a Quadratic / Circle) Lesson

A sequence of lessons on Simultaneous Equations where 1 is a quadratic designed for a high ability KS4 group. Prior knowledge of Factorising Trinomials is required - a lesson on this can be found here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ks4-factorising-trinomials-quadratics-with-a-coefficient-of-x-sqd-lesson-11772891 The structure of solving a Simultaneous Equation is clearly shown and starter activities are used to highlight key topics covered over the previous weeks. A series of lessons on using trigonometry in right angled triangles to solve problems. Lesson was originally designed for a top set year 9 class so goes from very basic through to more difficult problems involving application of the rules. There are many activities included at the start / throughout / end of the powerpoint to be used when appropriate. These lessons are combination of my own / adapted from other TES users / worksheets. An activity designed around a past exam question on Spearmans Rank Correlation Coefficient. Pupils are given the same question with 4 different answers and asked to choose the correct answer. Indices (Index Laws) Lesson & Bingo Activity

A full lesson put together on Index Laws which builds up students knowledge and introduces lots of different scenarios. There is also an activity used as a plenary to check pupils understanding of indices. Each pupil is given a bingo card and the powerpoint slides has the questions related.
