Genetic Engineering: Making Insulin This lesson is aimed at higher ability KS4 students who already have an understanding of asexual reproduction and insulin. Students work in pairs to research how insulin is produced using bacteria and GM animals. Students then discuss and compare methods, deciding which is ‘best’ and why.
