This is a 10-15 minute presentation about personal identity. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 7 but it is suitable for KS2-KS3 (Years 3 - 9 Ages 7-14). It covers what makes up an identity, gives students the opportunity to think about their own identity and includes a downloaded video so it will never disappear. There are no writing tasks, just discussion questions. It fits with the new RSHE or PSHE curriculum and is suitable for an assembly or whole school session.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly about World Hunger Day, specifically in 2022 but could easily be adapted for other years.

his is a 10-15 minute assembly about vaccinations. It is not specifically about Covid 19 vaccinations but more about vaccinations in childhood and in general. I have taught this both to Year 8 and Year 10 and it has been received well by all students and improved their learning about Christian pilgrimage. It is suitable for KS3 & KS4 (Aged 11-16) as part of the Religious Education KS3 curriculum or AQA pilgrimage part of Christian Beliefs GCSE topic.
This session highlights the important facts about dental hygiene and explains to younger secondary school students or older primary school students how to look after their teeth. This is a 10-15 minute session about domestic abuse suitable for PSHE, tutor time, assemblies or as a longer unit on domestic abuse in a PSHE lesson. It includes sources of support, types of abuse, definitions, key information, downloaded videos and has a plenary quiz. This was originally planned for Year 9 during tutor time but can be used throughout KS3 - KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It is linked to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can also be used to complement the Keeping Safe in Education guidance. This has been received well by students and has taught them how to seek help if needed.
This is a lesson which centres around the Coercive Control BBC documentary. It was originally a set of 2 x 90 minute Citizenship lessons but can be adapted easily. It includes written activities and discussion points as well as extension tasks, definitions, moral issues and sources of support.
It has already engaged lots of students and taught them the law and issues surrounding Coercive Control. It highlights how to spot coercive control and leads to some excellent discussions among KS4 and KS5 students.

It fits into the PSHE and RSE & Health Curriculum and can be used to highlight and learning to spot and stop abusive relationships. It is suitable for KS4-KS5 ( Ages 15-18+, Years 10-13, Grades 10-12).
This is a 10-15 minute assembly for Children in Need suitable for all year groups from Year 5 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 9-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There is a short youtube clip which is downloaded so it will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers what Children in Need is, who it helps, how and why to help. It also shows the connection with a slide on Fundamental British Values, the UN Rights of a Child and a point of Reflection. This is a 15-20 minute tutor time PSHE session on charity volunteering. It can be used as a whole school assembly for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12, Years 7-13). It does not have any written tasks just two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and discussion questions so students can find out what they can volunteer for and why they would benefit from voluntary work. This can be lengthened or shortened to fit a tutor time, assembly or a lesson for PSHE, Citizenship, Fundamental British Values, SMSC and Character Education.
Students reacted very well to this presentation and many positive discussions were had as a result.
