The powerpoint and worksheet are designed to provide the context from the annexation of Crimea to the most recent conflict in the Ukraine. Pupils find out about the UN and NATO first and then explore what has happened within the Ukraine and how the UK’s involvement through NATO has attempted to find resolutions.

Considering dependency ratios

Resource Reliance - considering different types of farming and fishing, mechanisation and how commercial farming and fishing affects the environment. Powerpoint slides for groupwork on the GCSE Geography topic of Resource Reliance, focussing on farming and fishing. The slides are designed to be printed out and stuck up around the classroom. The pupils then move round in groups to watch all of the embedded videos - QR codes on each slide to access these. They should think about the answers to the questions on the slides, but one group is allocated to answer the questions for one slide on a shared document/padlet/collaborative board (eg Jamboard). Finishes with a consideration of some 4 mark exam questions.
