Measures to promote growth and development project / worksheet for A-level Economics. Students are required to analyse methods that could help a country of their imagination grow/develop economically. Covers topics including: *types of foreign aid (tied, bilateral, multilateral); debt relief; role of the IMF; market-orientated strategies; interventionist strategies; the role of the World Bank; FDI etc. * There is also a 20-mark practice question at the end for good measure. Used as revision after covering the final chapter of Unit 4 (Edexcel Student Book 2).

Quick lesson on Universal Basic Income used with my Year 13 Economics students. -Students read the BBC article on UBI -Try to fill in the table with some pros and cons (using their own knowledge) -Then I put the Financial Times video on (19 mins; free on YouTube) and asked students to update their table accordingly -Also resulted in a good discussion in my class after viewing I found this was a good way to help my students understand a real world issue that isn’t necessarily in the syllabus
