Living things and their habitats plan, should last approx. 7 weeks, covering all objectives on the NC as well as a range of working scientifically objectives. The plan is fully differentiated for each lesson. Originally planned for Year 4 however could be adapted for other year groups. Week 1 - To understand what is classes as a living thing. Week 2 - To can recognise that living things can be grouped in a variety of ways. Week 3 - To can explore a variety of living things that are in our local area. Week 4 - To can create a guide to identify what living things are in my local area. Week 5 - To can explore and use classification keys to help to group a variety of different living things.
