I have designed this lesson for an able Y8 group, but this could easily be adapted for KS4 students too. In this lesson, countries are introduced in the starter (match up flag and country in French). The lesson then moves on to talk about different matches (who played who, who won, who lost, scores…). Students then get to predict scores and match outcomes (Trapdoor and speaking activities)
