A great resource to help students understand how changing the pressure or temperature effects the position of equilibrium and hence yield. Students review the initial decision tree and then apply this to other examples (both generic and a chemical equation). Really useful for embedding this and providing a scaffold before attempting extended answer response questions.

A table to allow students to break down the key steps in determining a structure using NMR data. This simple table scaffold allows the students to do the following: Identify the chemical shifts values for each peak Identify the splitting pattern for each peak Calculate integration ratios from relative intensities Suggest a structure for each of the fragments All of this allows them to methodically and sequentially construct the structure of the compounds from each of the individual “jigsaw pieces” of information provided in an NMR spectrum. This table will minimize the cognitive overload that students experience when attempting to solve unstructured NMR structural determination problems.
