This session takes a look at the Renaissance period and the explosion of culture through the arts. The affects this had on music and composers of the period. It also looks at the start of the orchestra.

Session 9 takes a deep look at the classical period with great links, notes, pictures questions and debate. We look at composers, instruments, orchestra’s and styles of the period and the reasons behind these changes prompting great debate and discussion.

Session 2 takes an overview with great links pictures, discussion and debate at music from the start to where we are today and how important music is in our lives. The notes guide us through the powerpoints with super questions etc. Leading to a deeper understanding of the history of music.

Here we have a lovely collective worship song for your school. This was co- written by children in year 3. You could make up your own actions and moves to this song with great lyrics to link actions. This is a real morning feel good song to sing along in assembly. Good luck with your moves!
