Meet the /ure/ family one of the twenty vowel sounds in the English language. Children practise reading and spelling words containing this phoneme using sound spots as support. Four games designed to support children in rehearsing their phonics skills prior to the phonic screening test. Children use their phonics skills to translate the alien language. In these games the children take on the role of aliens, they learn how to ask and answer questions like an alien. solve an alien treasure hunt and also create their own alien words.
