This task challenges students to follow the Design & Technology steps (design, make & evaluate) a new Artificial Intelligence powered product.
This task sheet includes a basic revision of what AI is and a list of questions for them to consider when creating their inventions.
Artificial Intelligence- 'Will AI Rule the World by 2050'?
This resource provides a simple definition of Artificial Intelligence and a list of examples of where it is used in our lives today (2020).
There is also a thought provoking discussion question-‘Do you think AI will rule the world by 2050’ and related questions that will stimulate an interactive and lively class discussion.
This resource creates the perfect foundation for an open ended task in which students design/make/evaluate their own form of AI that could help to improve our everyday lives.
Post Covid-19 All About Me Brown Paper Bag Task
As schools will likely be reopening soon in the UK this activity is a nice way to ease students back into the school environment and allow them to reflect on their time away from school.
I would send the task sheet home to parents before the first day of school and ask them to gather items and bring them in during Week 1.
This activity can be used as a writing stimulus. Eg/ Recount
