I was a Primary School teacher for 29 years in Key Stage 1 and 2. My aim is to produce child friendly worksheets and resources to cover all areas of the curriculum. I am particularly interested in language and writing. I write my own stories and poetry, have had these published and will incorporate many into my Literacy resources. World Cup 2018

One for the boys or girls in KS1 and KS2 who like football. This PDF file consists of 22 pages, all football related activities. The children are asked to research the internet after reading facts and information about the World Cup, its host and the teams involved. There are also a variety of numeracy and literacy activities including multiplication, division, function boxes,dictionary work, spelling activities and looking at healthy lifestyle and diet. There is also a drawing activity. This can be printed out as an individual booklet for each child.

The activities provide fun things to do for the children. 30 page booklet for Upper KS1 and KS2 based on Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. This powerpoint and PDF file can be printed out as individual worksheets or as a complete workbook for the entire class. The resource is in black and white with a coloured front cover. There are a variety of activities which can be given to all children therefore it is great for differentation. Would be very useful when doing guided reading. The activities included are: descriptive writing, plurals, diminutives, poetry writing, book reviews, drawing and labelling activities, letter writing, favourite character and reasons why, themes in the novel, characteristics of the characters, discussion around quotes from the novel, internet research, vocabulary exercises, conflict Man v Nature. Might be useful for World Book Day.

This is a 24 page PDF file to be printed out and used before reading the book, while reading the book and after reading the book. It is printer friendly as I have used very few colour graphics. It is suitable for KS2. A powerpoint has also been included. There are a variety of writing activities which can be printed out as an entire booklet for each child or as individual pages for working walls. I have tried to empathise with the characters especially August. In the workbook I have asked the children to look at the traits and feelings of the characters, their own feelings, to imagine they themselves are August and to write conversations and argumentative writings.Bullying and Bravery must also be written about by the children. I have also included designing a new cover, writing a book blurb, a book review and favourite character and part of the story. An essential resource for a fabulous book.

The children will read about the reasons for fasting, the importance of the number 40, reflection and self-discipline, Jesus' suffering and pain, the origins of Mothering Sunday, Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and the use of the colour purple in churches.
