I was a Primary School teacher for 29 years in Key Stage 1 and 2. My aim is to produce child friendly worksheets and resources to cover all areas of the curriculum. I am particularly interested in language and writing. I write my own stories and poetry, have had these published and will incorporate many into my Literacy resources. This 22 page PDF file is ideal for follow up work after reading Who Let The Gods Out by Maz Evans.There are a selection of writing, drawing and research tasks all in black and white. These tasks can be printed out individually for differentation or as a complete workbook for each child. They have a similar format to my Roald Dahl resources. Activities include: Descriptive and creative writing, creating poetry, writing news broadcast scripts, diary entries, book reviews, favourite characters and research skills working with a partner to create factfiles. This 28 page resource has the Nativity story written in an original format and in child friendly vocabulary. It is suitable for KS1 and tells the story of the birth of Jesus, the visit of the shepherds, the journey of the wisemen and the role of King Herod. It consists of reading pages and follow up writing and drawing activities. The booklet can be printed out for each child or used for differentation. It is a similar format to my Easter story book recommended by Tes. I have also included a powerpoint presentation. Written activities include vocabulary exercises, comprehension questions, newspaper reports , sentence construction, retelling parts of the story and ordering.

One for the boys or girls in KS1 and KS2 who like football. This PDF file consists of 22 pages, all football related activities. The children are asked to research the internet after reading facts and information about the World Cup, its host and the teams involved. There are also a variety of numeracy and literacy activities including multiplication, division, function boxes,dictionary work, spelling activities and looking at healthy lifestyle and diet. It is suitable for KS2. A powerpoint has also been included. There are a variety of writing activities which can be printed out as an entire booklet for each child or as individual pages for working walls. I have tried to empathise with the characters especially August. In the workbook I have asked the children to look at the traits and feelings of the characters, their own feelings, to imagine they themselves are August and to write conversations and argumentative writings.Bullying and Bravery must also be written about by the children. I have also included designing a new cover, writing a book blurb, a book review and favourite character and part of the story. An essential resource for a fabulous book.
