Classroom Economy Brain Cash for Positive Behavior Management

Classroom Economy Brain Cash for Positive Behavior Management

Do you need a fun, easy, fast way to encourage your students? Learn it to Earn It is an easy to use, ready-made reward economy system that encourages students to meet goals. It’s totally customizable to your students’ needs and level and comes with everything you need to implement it right away. Kids love earning Brain Cash when they show positive behaviors like: trying hard, not giving up, listening, following directions, staying on task, completing homework, birthdays, helping others, being on time, having materials, etc.. This system is great for individual tutoring, classroom use, special education, and homeschooling. It can be used as part of an individual behavior management plan or as a whole classroom economy unit. It is also a great way to tie in math as students keep track of money earned, spent, and needed. I have used this successfully with tutoring students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. What’s included: - 3 Sheets of Brain Cash in 1, 5, 10, 20 - ready to copy, cut and use. In black and white. Copy onto green or colored paper for a fun look. - Instructions for creating Brain Banks to store Brian Cash - Bank book and goal sheet with ideas for use - Brain checks for additional fun - Ideas for incorporating math and behavior goals - 4 reward certificates for extra reinforcement

Money Maze Challenge Adding/subtracting 10’s and 1’s

Money Maze Challenge Adding/subtracting 10’s and 1’s

Objectives: KS1 Maths, Year 2 and adapted for Year 1. Add numbers using concrete objects and pictorial representations, e.g. number squares, to add 1- and 2-digit numbers. Add/subtract mentally two 2-digit numbers by counting on in 10s and 1s. Recognise and use symbols for pence (p) and use coins to solve simple problems involving addition and subtraction. Targets: I can add and subtract 10’s and 1p coins. I can find totals using coins up to 100. Year 1 Adding 1 more/1 less Finding totals up to 20. Notes for teachers Children can complete the challenge individually or in pairs. Timing the activity helps keep the children focused, keep the totals a secret until the ‘big reveal’ to add competition. Ideally it would be good if the children use real 10p and 1p coins. Included: Prerequisite activity, adding tens only grid. Blank grid maze with coloured paths to laminate and you can add your own numbers depending on your Year group. Purse print out.

Maths presentation and feedback prompt bookmark for books/table/ KS1 & 2.

Maths presentation and feedback prompt bookmark for books/table/ KS1 & 2.

I'm using these bookmarks to prompt and remind the children of our presentation expectations of our school. You could place children's targets on back or just use them to remind the children what page they are on next (As at a young age they have a habit of missing pages out!) I have attached the word doc so you can attach your school's feedback policy etc...and make it suit your needs. Many thanks, hope you find this useful.

Money for Early Years

Money for Early Years

Using fake money, pupils can sort the coins onto the right sheets with the value of the coins. Money flash cards to be used prior or after learning. Low ability pupils can be supported by using the flashcard to correlate the image of the coin with its value. High ability pupils can then begin to add money together by shopping for an object they would like.
