I'm a PE teacher that enjoys making great resources to be used in lessons with my classes. After a few compliments and recommendations I decided to sell on TES. On TES I mainly have full unit resources for the new OCR GCSE PE (9-1) specification. Each unit will feature all that you need for the unit as I adopt the all-in-one approach, allowing you to get organised before each unit. nw_pe@hotmail.com

Year 8 End of Year PE Theory Exam - Key Stage 3 - All Resources - Simple GCSE Content

(0)
As a result of having end of year exams across all subjects at our school I have created this end of year exam for Year 8. I have based this on the new specification in preparation for those who opt for GCSE PE. Whilst it is challenging the content can be and probably already is taught through practical lessons to avoid missing any practical time (the effects of exercise on the body systems, the skeletal system, the components of fitness, the principles of training etc). Included in this resources is the following: - 40 mark exam paper featuring multiple choice and short answer questions. - The mark scheme. - A revision booklet to print and give to students to revise. This could be used during a fitness unit also. - A revision powerpoint to go through in lesson, we use one lesson prior to the exam to recap this content. This resource would be great value for anyone who needs to create a key stage 3 exam or revamp their current one to correspond to the new specification. Year 7 end of year exam also available.

We have over 400 5 star reviews on our highly successful GCSE PE units of work and are confident that our new OCR GCSE PE Revision Guides will not disappoint! This is a 53 page revision guide for Paper 2 – Socio-cultural issues and sports psychology (02) of the OCR GCSE (9-1) PE Specification (first examination in 2018). As a PE teacher who was unsatisfied with the revision guides available on the market I decided to create this for our students. As a department, we believe that this revision guide is as good, if not better than the ones available from publishers. However, with this one you will only need to purchase the file once then print as many as you need for years to come meaning this could offer you excellent value. The guide has been created in line with the specification to feature <b>everything</b> that students need to know for Paper 2. The information is clear, detailed and displayed in an appealing, easily accessible style for students with supporting images and diagrams. Please see the bottom of this text if you wish to see what is covered. As well as the information necessary, within the workbook for every aspect of the specification students must apply the knowledge to create a sporting example, practicing assessment objective 2 (AO2). They must do so using one of the nine sports people featured in the booklet. By applying their knowledge to sport students can develop greater understanding as opposed to that gained from just reading through their notes. If you have purchased our resources before you will be familiar with our set up. In addition to the vast amount of sporting example questions, at the end of each unit there are some exam style questions testing recall, explanation and relative importance skills. Also included is a mark scheme for these questions, allowing you to go through these in lessons. You could use these booklets in lessons in the lead up to the exam as they will take students hours to complete, or they could be provided to work on at home. If you have any queries please contact us at nw_pe @hotmail.com If you decide to purchase please leave us a review, especially if you have purchased our items before, we’d love to hear how you’ve found it. Content covered: 2.1.a – Engagement patterns of different social groups in physical activity and sport 2.1.b – Commercialisation of physical activity and sport 2.1.c – Ethical and socio-cultural issues in physical activity and sport 2.2 – Sports psychology 2.3 – Health, fitness and well-being Paper 1 revision guide also available here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/ocr-gcse-pe-9-1-2016-paper-1-revision-booklet-guide-with-questions-and-mark-scheme-11860148

Please note: Please do not buy if you have purchased my OCR GCSE PE Units as these are the same end of unit tests which are included as part of those packages. This resource features 12 end of unit tests for the full new OCR GCSE PE Specification (2016) Each test is out of 25 marks and across the tests students will answer questions worth a range of 1 to 6 marks. Each test finishes with a long answer 6 mark question. Some questions are from OCR sample material and many are written by us, considering each part of the specification. Accompanying the tests is a powerpoint featuring the mark scheme which we have written for each test and the grade boundaries which we have estimated. This will allow you to go through the mark scheme with students, allowing them to make corrections to their work once they get it back. Each unit has its own test except the muscular system and movement analysis which are tested together in one test due to being smaller units. Any questions please ask and check out my highly rated resources for each unit of the new OCR specification.

(20)
This is a full unit of work for the new OCR GCSE (9-1) PE Specification (2016). Please check out my other resources for more OCR Units just like this one. You can now purchase the full specification bundle from my TES shop. This will be all you need to deliver the unit 1.2.a - The Components of Fitness, including: A 91 slide powerpoint covering all aspects of the specification for the unit. This powerpoint contains learning outcomes, all the necessary information for notes, interactive tasks, embedded video clips, partner discussion activities, exam questions, two mini quizzes, 6 mark question tips and the answers to the tasks featured in the workbook. The powerpoint and workbook correspond so there is nothing you need to do other than print the documents. A 19 page all-in-one workbook created to be completed alongside the powerpoint. This features learning outcomes to self assess against, space to take notes, fun tasks, assessment opportunities and opportunities to apply knowledge to sporting examples. A topic test to be completed at the end of the unit. This contains the questions released by OCR as well as some that have been created for the unit to test each part of the specification. It also includes a 6 mark question. The test is out of 25 marks and the answers feature on the powerpoint to go through with students. 3 six mark question sheets featuring a six mark question. These feature varying scaffolds and will allow you to give more support to some students and hopefully allow them to access the higher marks whilst all completing the same task. 3 test your knowledge grids, again these are differentiated so that there is an easy, medium and hard version. A set of top trump cards for an activity detailed in the powerpoint. Students complete the figures on the cards by discussing the importance of each component in relation to that sports person. They also create their own for their own sport. Then they play against one another, discussing the components and reinforcing their knowledge. A practical fitness testing worksheet for a practical lesson where students take part in fitness testing. Students record their scores on their sheet and will copy these up neatly into their workbooks when discussing each component. This is to avoid them having to take their workbook out of the class room and to keep their work neat. This unit has been created in line with the specification and covers each section. I have not made this resource just to sell it, I take pride in making sure my resources are great and I will be delivering these units myself this year. Please leave a review if you like the resource!

Athletics Unit Workbook (Key Stage 3)

(0)
This is a 12 page workbook which students can work through alongside an athletics unit. The workbook features details on how a unit can be run, we have students in ability groups of four, working through the events so that they are working and then competiting with students of similar ability. The different roles detailed are performer, cameraman, coach and team mate. The workbook then features assessment criteria, world records for males, females, U13's, U'15 and U'17's, and pages on sprinting, sprint start technique, middle distance running, the 4x100m relay changeover methods, shot put, javelin and long jump. Each of these pages features teaching points, boxes for self/peer assessment and plenary questions to complete. On the back of the booklet there is a table for students to record their scores. In this table there is a column which requires students to write how they think they could improve further in the event. I use the Sainsburys athletics criteria to read out the bronze, silver and gold scores and students tick which category they are in. There is also a bunch of flowers for students to tick if they do not hit the bronze target. Within this table there are gaps for extra events/results if you want to complete further events which are not listed. Students enjoy using the booklets alongside athletics and these also get students into good routines.

* Please click the photo and look at 'Workbook Preview' for examples from the workbook * Please search ‘GCSE PE Revision Workbook for Units 1.2.1 - 1.2.5 based on Ronaldo (for Edexcel)’ for a booklet for the second part of the course. This is a 33 page revision workbook which allows students to revise units 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 for Edexcel GCSE PE. It is colour coded and features the parts of the specification detailing what they need to know, past exam questions and questions which require students to apply their knowledge to a sporting example with various scenarios based around Tennis Player Andy Murray. There are also prompts, tables and boxes for students to recite their knowledge of the topics. Students can use the check list to tick off what they know and high light areas in which they need to revise further. Also attached is the answers for the exam questions featured in the workbook in the blue boxes. Both booklets have been used by our department and have been very well received by our Year 11 in preparation for the upcoming exam. It has taken them several lessons to work through and they have enjoyed the project style and the tasks of linking all topics back to Sports People (Murray in this case). Applying knowledge to a sportsperson has allowed some students to produce developed statements when they have struggled previously. The booklet could easily be catered towards a different sport with the majority of questions being transferable. I would appreciate your feedback below! Units covered: 1.1.1: Healthy, active lifestyles and how they could benefit you 1.1.2: Influences on your healthy, active lifestyle 1.1.3: Exercise and fitness as part of your healthy, active lifestyle 1.1.4: Physical activity as part of your healthy, active lifestyle 1.1.5: Your personal health and wellbeing
