A = Adjectives (use a range of adjectives in the writing to showcase the range of vocabulary. Also, adjectives tend to imply opinions, which is another requirement of essay writing) C = Connectives and comparatives T = Time frames I = Intensifiers (adverbs that intensify the verbs and adjectives) O = Opinions and justifications N = Negatives
