10 Phrases Sur Moi! Je me présente! Activité pour la rentrée

10 Phrases Sur Moi! Je me présente! Activité pour la rentrée

This fun French activity helps primary school pupils introduce themselves. It is ideal as a back-to-school or end-of-year activity but it can be used at any time of the year. Pupils write 10 sentences about themselves - one sentence per finger onto the outline of a pair of hands. They then decorate. The completed art activity can then be used as a springboard to oral presentations. This is a lovely confidence-building activity. Finding ten things to say about themselves may seem like a daunting task but by using the included fill-in-the-blanks sentences, pupils are often surprised with how much French they know. This resource includes: - 25 fill-in-the-blanks French sentences & the English translation - the same 25 sentences with options to fill in the sentences & the English translation - 3 different pairs of hands outlines with fill-in-the-blanks sentences - a blank pair of hands outline - 3 sample completed pairs of hands outlines - Teacher Page - How to use this product

12 French Quizzes for Different Levels

12 French Quizzes for Different Levels

Attached is a list of 12 cultural quizzes on France for KS3,4,5 students. Please check the title to find out the targeted audience. Most of them are interactive PPT so can be displayed on whiteboard and played in teams. I use these quizzes at the end of term or for starters/plenaries with great effect. Students really like it as it's covering a range of cultural topics about France ( medias, geography, history, famous people) and it's a refreshing change from the linguistic side of their FRench studies. The quizzes appear in different formats, Word or PPT mainly, and are editable. Enjoy!

French KS3 Cover Lesson Design your own Castle / Palace

French KS3 Cover Lesson Design your own Castle / Palace

This works best as a cover lesson. It is easy for non-specialists to follow but supports and challenges KS3 students of French well. Most effective for students with prior knowledge of connectives and opinions, but these are supplied in ppt. Could also be adapted for use in lessons by specialists. Lesson involves: Differentiated objectives and starter activity. Activity 1: team work to look up words they can use to design / describe a castle (displayed in French on ppt) in dictionaries, again, differentiated. These words include: swimming pool, knights, dragons etc. Next slide gives answers to students so they can write down whatever they were unable to find. Activity 2: differentiated translation task using castle vocabulary. Key words provided as well as higher challenge. Next slide contains answers for peer / self assessment. Main activity 3 'apply' task: Differentiated. Students design their own castle or palace. Key words and higher challenges included. Pyramid review to finish.

French Fashion

French Fashion

This was an assignment left for students to complete while I was in France. My Year 9 students had just completed a unit on clothing. The assignment was designed so that students would be able to complete it without the help of a French teacher. It was also used to give some background information on Christian Dior, as the students were going to watch the movie 'Dior & I' at the end of the week.

Le Noël: ,,L'as tu vu?'' and ,,Vive le vent''

Le Noël: ,,L'as tu vu?'' and ,,Vive le vent''

Two Christmas songs to practise and learn with your students. The children singing the songs are native French speakers ( the songs were part of a Pen Pal project I currently run with a partner school in France). The lyrics are displayed on the IWB and the music is played at the same time, so it is easy to practise and learn the songs. The lesson comes with a colouring-in activity.
