I use this resource as a revision for my KS4 groups. It is a simple PowerPoint that states the rules of the Conditional Tense in Spanish. With the PowerPoint I have attached a booklet to aid with the lesson. The booklet contains the following: - 4 activities that students can complete in lesson or as homework / revision. (Fill in the gaps x 2, translate sentence and write a paragraph) - A notes sheet on the formation of the tense - A notes sheet on the most common irregular verbs. These resources are for use in GCSE/Junior Cycle Classes. There are 3 different sheets, each one representing a Halloween character in which students are asked to write about the character. This wee booklet is good for vocabulary acquisition. Rather than giving students list of vocabulary and getting them to use it or just learn it, I like to scaffold for my less able pupils. I generally find with these tasks their retention is better. I then use these. I love using these type of activities for starters and plenaries too when we’re progressing to full sentences or fully written pieces. Water - Lesson 1 This lesson and it's resources focuses on where is water in the world. It introduces the key words for this topic and also gives students an insight into what they will learn during this module. This resource contains all you need to write a letter in Spanish to Father Christmas. The first activity asks students to make a list of all the things they want for Christmas. (Have dictionaries ready for students who need some extra help). The second activity is matching exercise with all the necessary phrases that students can adapt to help them write their letter. Simple revision mat for students to use when they are unsure of whether they need to use 'Ser' or 'Estar'.

This resource contains all the necessary displays for your Spanish classroom this Christmas. I use these as a game first to introduce the vocabulary to my students. They are placed around my room and students are given a list of Christmas vocabulary in English. They then have to find the Spanish equivalent. It's nice to watch students discover the vocabulary themselves as opposed to looking at a PowerPoint and writing everything down in a vocabulary book. This resource contains three resources for a lesson in Spanish. The first is a Bingo game, using Christmas vocabulary (See my display resource for that vocabulary) The second is a puzzle where students need to orientate themselves through a puzzle. This can be done using directions. (One person is blind folded and they must direct their partner around the puzzle) Or this resource can be used as a simple starter. The third resource is a word search. Each activity focuses oral skills and new vocabulary. It's a lovely way to finish the term off and also a way to keep students engaged in their final lesson. I stuck this into the start of my Year 10s Spanish book this year. It's a simple list of the Themes & Topics they will study over the next two years.
