New curriculum Level (BIG Write) in Word. Ros Willsons Grades for writing assessments in Word (converted from PDF)

I have taken all of the statutary spellings for years 3 and 4 from the new curriculum and then add some other words all from looking at the rules. This is for middle abilty more than any others! Thanks someone else for the template!

A unit of work, aimed at year 4 to and plan and write a Big Write. The children really loved writing this, some very creative pieces were written. Could be taught over 3 or more days. By the end of the week, the children will make up a ‘tall tale’ to apologise for something. You will be buying: A Smart Notebook - First 8 slides are SPAG - figurative language A WAGOLL which ticks off the SC. 2 differentiated planning sheets (one for LA/EAL) Success criteria - progressive and differentiated 3 ways. A collection of word mats to help up-level writing.

I had a go at planning the new curriculum for year 4. Resources are from a variety of different places - TES, Primary Resources etc (Thanks to all). Feedback is greatly appreciated!

APP Levels LITERACY APP Targets going from 1 level to another. They are in pupil friendly language.

Block D Unit 1 Year 4, lesson plan, and resources, including flipchart, homework set and beginning of unit assessmment. This is a collection I have made (NOT MY OWN RESOURCES) for the above unit. Includes week 1 lesson plan and resources. Year 4 class is from level 1 to level 4.

A whole school Moral Assembly on the story Lion and the mouse. Morals are: Little people can do great things, make the right choise and you will be rewarded and a friend in need is a friend indeed.

2 lessons on the Line of Symmetry of different shapes. Differentiated for levels 2 through to 4. Engaging lessons - Mirrors were really helpful to them. Interesting lessona that can also be done as a series of Art lessons, though these were 2 Maths lessons.

Resources (Writing Checklists for diary entry and persuasive writing) for Jemmy Button. Aimed at Year 3 Also includes some images to help with children as visual aids. This goes with the weeks 1-4 planning for Jemmy Button which I uploaded separately...
