Comprehensive and engaging lesson that links to Chapter 8 of the Edexcel specification on Global Politics. This lesson covers in detail the growth in regionalism following the second world war. There are lessons on (i) An introduction to regionalism, where students are introduced to the concept and the key words that will arise; (ii) Other regional organisations, with detailed case studies on the Arab League, ASEAN, the African Union and NAFTA; (iii) An indepth examination of the European Union, its history, aims, institutions and impact on sovereignty.
