1.) Linked to History and Art, draw the picture of The Academy. Think about detail and shading. 2.) Various pictures of services in brixton. 3.) Simple map of Brixton. Children can create shops and services (collages?) with a tab and stick them on to make a 3D street map. 4.) and 5.) Mindmap or sentence work on shops found in Brixton. We looked at the physical and human features around Brixton Windmill and then in groups created 3D maps (as shown). Look brilliant and really help the children to position different features correctly.

An interesting and engaging poem on the fear and devastation caused by earthquakes. The 1,2,1,2 rhyming poem gives pupils an insight to the loss that someone may feel. The poem comes with writing paper for pupils to write their own poem about an earthquake and poetry comprehension questions.
