To achieve high grades in the new GCSE exam, students will have to become more adept at using and manipulating grammar. This grammar resource aims to help students improve their knowledge and application of grammar within the context of describing their region. Part 3 introduces comparative and superlative adjectives, their agreement with and position in relation to the noun they describe. In addition, learn and practise ‘the best’ and use adjectives with ‘more and more’ and ‘less and less’. There are exercises to stretch and challenge and many tasks are scaffolded for the less able. The font size is large so that 2 sheets can be copied to A4 to reduce printing costs.
The worksheets can be easily edited to match other GCSE topics.

This resource is based on Module 5, Unit 3, pp. 94, 95 of Studio 1.
It comprises 3 worksheets which will help your students practise the key vocabulary of Café snacks and drinks, dialogues and numbers 40-95.
There is also a ppt. which includes the answers to most of the exercises.
5 attractively and clearly presented worksheets, 1 crossword puzzle and 1 vocabulary grid based on Module 4, Unit 1 of Studio 2 Rouge. Use these differentiated worksheets to help your students:
1) understand how adjectives work in French; agreement and position.
2) use possessive adjectives, ‘mon, ma, mes’, ‘ton, ta, tes’ and ‘son, sa, ses’.
3) use comparative adjectives with ‘plus ..... que’ and ‘moins ..... que’.
4) improve reading comprehension and translation skills by doing tasks based on ex. 1, p. 68
5) acquire key vocabulary through repetition and practice.
There are 2 ppts. The first will help you demonstrate how adjectives work and the second is a ‘shared’ ppt. which I upload to the school’s network so that students can practise at their own pace and consolidate their learning.
The worksheets have been meticulously designed and are at least as nicely presented as any resource you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don't be put off by the preview image which at times looks distorted with text not fitting into boxes or lines missing from tables (due, I think, to the inclusion of tables/grids/text boxes); the actual resource looks so much nicer when downloaded.

1 vocabulary sheet to support learning.
1 crossword puzzle with clues in French to test reading comprehension skills.
2 ppts introduce key vocabulary, verbs and grammar from unit 2, J'ai une passion pour le cinéma and practise skills similar to those on the accompanying worksheets. I made the 'shared' ppt. and uploaded it to the student shared area for my students to do in one of the school's IT rooms.
This resource has been designed with attention to detail and is at least as nicely presented as any you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don't be put off by the preview image which looks as though lines are missing from tables etc. This is not the case as the actual resource looks professional in appearance when downloaded.

This ppt. has 25 slides and is suitable for students of all abilities up to and including Y7. The main objective is to practise verbs of liking and disliking in the context of sport and school subjects, giving reasons by using the connective ‘parce que’, qualifiers ‘très, trop, assez’ and adjectives ‘super, nul, barbant, ennuyeux, facile, difficile, sympa, sévère’. By the end of the ppt. students should be able to pronounce more confidently and create a simple sentence in which they give an opinion and reason. The exercises are varied and include gap fill, puzzles, vocabulary and pronunciation practice, translation and sentence structure.
I made this worksheet for a Grade 9 student to complement Theme 1, Unit 2 (Technology in everyday life) of the Oxford AQA, GCSE Spanish Higher coursebook. Having covered all the main tenses, indicative and subjunctive, I decided to create some passages for translation into Spanish, each dealing with a specific tense.
A nice powerpoint to demonstrate and practise direct object pronouns with your students. I do this grammar point when covering the theme ‘Relationships with family and friends: Ma famille et mes amis’.
There is a worksheet for students to write their answers to slides 4 and 5.
This is a test out of 30, based on p. 9 of Studio 2 Vert. I used this with my Y8 average/low ability students.
