Printable bunting display bulletin letters numbers and more: England Flag Football World Cup

This is a letter set on bunting consisting of: A-Z in capital letters a-z in lower case letters 0-9 ! ? … , . “” x + = ÷ There is one letter/ number/ symbol per page. All you have to do is print out the pages you need to write out any heading you like. Get the pages laminated and cut out to create a lovely and creative display heading. You can also use your printer settings to put multiples pages per page to get smaller letters (that depends on your printer though). Locate the Major Rivers of the UK (Y3/4 Rivers Topic)

A lesson on mapwork for Y3/4 in which pupils locate and name the major rivers of the UK and some of the major towns and cities that lie along their courses. 4 river/waterway maps are included but it is highly recommended you put out a class set of good quality atlases with detailed mapping of the UK in them. Pupils will need to use their skills of comparing features across different maps in order to label the major UK rivers and answer the questions below. The activity is differentiated three ways.

A 2 hour lesson looking at the features of Russia’s climate. Students answer a series of questions about Russia’s climate using the deskmat and then working in groups of four students create a climate chart for one of the different climate zones in Russia. Once students have completed the climate chart they work in groups to match up the climate chart to the correct climate zone. Resources included; desk mat, powerpoint, climate data for each location and blank climate chart.

This was an activity I did with my year 7’s. I had them choose different countries within Europe and gave them a fact file on their country, they then had to choose the most interesting and important information and present in to the class. They also had to show the class where it was on the map and the rest of the class would write the country name onto their maps.
