Der Körper und die Gesundheit

Der Körper und die Gesundheit

This is a revision resource aimed to revise body parts, illnesses and visiting the doctor. It was created with Logo 2, chapter 3 in mind, but can easily be used with other text books, or none, as no references are made to the book. The sheet can be used as a standard revision sheet. However, it was originally designed as a competition. For each section that students complete, they should come to the teacher's desk, where the activity is marked. For each successfully completed section, the teacher awards the student with a raffle ticket. This goes into a prize draw at the end of lesson - the more tickets a student has, the higher chance they have of winning. A highly motivating and engaging task to brighten up what could be quite dry revision.

Beim Arzt (Echo 2, Module 4, Unit 3)

Beim Arzt (Echo 2, Module 4, Unit 3)

Powerpoint teaching students to understand and build up a conversation at the doctor. Starter: X/O on pains and ailments. Main: Using a conversation as an example, focus on the different parts adding vocab/grammar (konnen, seit, perfekt, mussen). Parts of the conversation then disappear to give place to generic instructions for students to adapt for their own role play (I use finger/hand puppets). I don't make students write anything, just give them a copy of the important slides on one handout so they spend less time copying and more time using/manipulating the language.
