This has been designed to support the White Rose Maths Year 9 scheme. Treasure Hunt activities promote cooperative learning and engagement by pupils working in pairs to find the correct answer. This resource covers median, mode, range, quartiles, IQR, estimated mean and modal class interval in the style of revision foldables. There are ten different revision foldables in total on this topic. This resource is also part of our foldables bundle, check it out below. This pack includes ten foldables (one editable foldable) on the topics of averages and range from lists and tables. They are; Averages from a list; pupils define and find the mean, median, mode and range for a list of numbers Averages from a list; pupils define and find the mean, median, mode and range for a list of numbers which your able to insert before printing. Quartiles from a list ; pupils state the method for each quartile and find the quartiles of the list of numbers Averages from a discrete frequency table; a frequency table of discrete data is given and pupils are asked to find the mean, median, mode and range Averages from a grouped frequency table; a grouped frequency table is given and pupils are asked to find the estimated mean, median, modal class interval and range (they will need guidance as to maximum and minimum range) In this pack there is at least two versions of each type of foldable more than one version of each therefore one could be used during the learning phase as an example and another during revision. Fortune Teller activities, or Cootie Catchers in the US, are a great childhood game remodeled to test mathematical skills. Check out our blog post (link in document) for further information. In this cootie catcher there are eight questions requiring students to multiply two and three digit numbers, leading to multiplying decimals. The corners of the cootie catcher indicated the differentiation which is to three levels (easy, medium and difficult) and the fourth corner is a “pot luck” section.
