Performance Management: Teachersâ Standards Evidence Binder
With Performance Related Pay now in full swing for teachers, it is more important than ever to document the evidence to prove that you are meeting the standard requirements which enable you to earn a pay rise, or at least remain at the top of the scale.
Oftentimes during the appraisal meeting season in September, we are reflecting on our achievements from the previous academic year but it can be difficult to remember everything we have done if we rely only on our memory! It is also often confusing to know where we can find evidence to prove we have met the standards; this is why I created this resource.
Tired of being less than inspired by dull blankets of text and confusing layouts of these standards, I decided to design something a little more aesthetically pleasing and easier to navigate and organise evidence with. With this 20 page binder, you can clearly see each of the standards and you have a simple and efficient system of both making quick notes and recording hard evidence of how you are meeting the standards.
So get organised with your performance management and ensure you get the pay you deserve as a teacher!

Get access to 3 vibrant and unique editable Google Forms ready for back to school! Get to know your students on a deeper level, have fun with "this or that" quick fire questions and ask your students' parents some insightful questions too!
You will also be able to see student responses live on screen and use this information to really get to know your students. Also very handy if you really don't want to be dealing with extra piles of paper this year!
New to Google forms? Don't worry, I have also included an exclusive video to guide you through how to use these forms in your own classroom :)
***
Hereâs a little background story as to why I created these Get to Know You Google forms: I recently took over a new class and I had a âhand overâ meeting with their former teacher to tell me more about them. She knew most of them well academically and behaviourally, however she floundered when asked about their personal interests and admitted she couldnât tell me anything about some of themâŚ!?
I wanted to make sure I knew something about every one of my kids, hence these Google forms were born! Youâre bound to learn something about each student if you actually make an effort to ask them (and the quiet ones might prefer to type it up rather than talk about it) and you can then use that information to help build relationships over time.
This set contains 3 different forms for you. There are 2 forms for students:
⢠one goes deep on on their interests, fears and hobbies
⢠the other is a more laid back and fun school related âthis or thatâ game
⢠the third form is for the parents / guardians so you can start to build a relationship with them too by getting their perspective on their child, learn what they want from you and how they would like to be contacted etc.
The Google Forms are attractive and vibrant and can be done in class or completed as homework on any device that is connected to the internet. I wish you a long and happy relationship with your new class this year!

Are you concerned about the emotional health of your students?
We all want our students to be healthy, and so we teach them about good nutrition and exercise. Fair enough! But what about their emotional health?
I donât know about you, but over the last few years especially, I have noticed more and more students suffering from feelings of anxiety. Theyâre struggling to manage these overwhelming emotions that are stemming from cultural changes of modern life. Academic stress (that is starting younger and younger), personal life and the pressures of social media are all playing their role and taking their toll.
So, in an effort to help my students, and yours too, I have created this unit on Emotional Health which explores all the emotions that we feel and how a build up of them can sometimes lead to anxiety, as well as strategies for dealing with them.
No prior knowledge or experience from you is required! Everything is laid out for you ready to teach. The PowerPoint guides you through each point of the lesson with plenty of discussion points and activities to keep students engaged and reflecting on their learning.
Also included are graphic organizer printables which are supplementary to the PowerPoint: theyâre not a requirement, but they work as a helpful tool for students to record their thoughts in an aesthetically pleasing way that can then be used for bulletin board displays etc. You will also find a set of discussion cards for students to discuss the topic of emotions and get the conversation going about something that is rarely talked about openly. This unit can be used as whole group, small group, or even for 1:1 counselling.
Product includes:
⢠24 slide PowerPoint
⢠11 printables of graphic organizers
⢠6 scenarios to analyze
⢠24 discussion cards
Students will learn:
⢠To identify different types of emotions
⢠What emotions are and why we have them
⢠Why people have different emotions to the same scenario
⢠How understanding emotions can help us
⢠Helpful vs unhelpful emotions
⢠What to do when an emotion is unhelpful
⢠What to do when emotions are overwhelming
⢠Physical and emotional effects of anxiety
⢠Worries and concerns that can cause anxiety
⢠How to help ease anxiety
⢠Short term and long term strategies for anxiety
Letâs break the stigma on openly talking about emotions and feelings. It doesnât have to be something done in therapy alone, we all have emotions and our students need to learn why we have them and how we can manage them too.
I have found teaching this unit is effective in morning meetings with tutor / advisory classes or as whole life skills lessons too, depending on how much time you can allocate. It is such a valuable topic to talk to our students about. Thank you for all you do to make a difference in young peoplesâ lives!
Great for Social Skills, Life skills and PSHE (Physical, Social, Health Education) lessons.
