What’s the weather like? - A clothes song for early years’ learners (0-5 year olds)

What’s the weather like? - A clothes song for early years’ learners (0-5 year olds)

At last! Musicbuds is here offering an exceptional range of original and well-crafted resources underpinning common musical objectives whilst focused on prominent EYFS themes. Aimed at all Early Years’ practitioners from class teachers, music specialists, teaching assistants, playgroup leaders to EAL and SEND support teachers. This song was written for a class of 3 year olds doing a topic on the Weather and was inspired by a great book called ‘Froggy gets dressed’ by Jonathan London. In the story Froggy puts his clothes on in the wrong order and then realises he has forgotten his underpants! The song helps to sequence the clothes. Children have to respond rhythmically with ‘putting on clothes’ actions. They love it! Can be used as a stand-alone clothes/weather song or as Song 10 in our 30-minute music and movement session. Each song includes: 1) A comprehensive lesson plan -highlighting EYFS and Music objectives covered -directions on classroom management -recommended list of props/visual aids -ideas for Extended learning  -inclusive planning for children with EAL/SEND profiles -different ways to deliver the material from Music/EYFS perspectives -formatted to allow easy cut-and-paste options into planning documents 2) Audio tracks - vocal & backing 3) Sheet music - for piano & guitar 4) Lyrics  -teachers’ lyrics with directions for classroom management  -children’s lyrics suitable for a Songbook

Primary Swimming Resource (for the entire school, inc. assessment crib sheets)

Primary Swimming Resource (for the entire school, inc. assessment crib sheets)

12 levels of swimming resources for complete non-confident beginner up to club level. These 12 resources go through a series of progressions for all Primary-age students to work through, leading to school-made certificates that can be awarded in-school, leading to cost-effective use of resources. The 12 cards should be laminated and made use of on the pool side by teachers, followed by the 12 assessment cribs to input your results and show the progressions made by students in lesson time. An excellent resource that meets NCPE and ASA standards, as well as giving students a challenge to work towards which is easy to track as well as deliver. An extra idea is to personalise the levels instead of using 1-12. You could make use of House Colours, sea creatures (level 12 could be Shark for example) or any other adaptations you wish to use. Not only does it focus on swimming, but also personal survival and lifesaving skills. They can be used alongside the RLSS Rookie Lifesaver scheme.
