Halloween Task Card Activity Bundle

Halloween Task Card Activity Bundle

This Halloween themed bundle is packed full of different task card activities that target a variety of different skills for students to work on, while being quick to grab and hand out throughout the day, being re-usble each year and introducing the theme of Halloween into your learning environment. There are a HUGE amount of different task cards included in this bundle which you and your students are sure to love. This pack also contains editable 'titles' to use in the front of storage boxes where you can write the activities that can be found in that storage box. I store these in photo keeper boxes, making them quick to grab out and go, then work my way through the different boxes so students get a chance at working on a variety of different activities. You can use these cards as 1:1 work, group centre work or even as full class activities. Instructions are also included on first pages of each PDF document. I would highly recommend laminating each of the individual task cards so that they will be stronger, therefore longer lasting.

Halloween Conversation Prompt Task Cards Social Skills

Halloween Conversation Prompt Task Cards Social Skills

Halloween themed conversation prompt cards to encourage your students to work on their communication, social and conversation skills in a fun and engaging way this Halloween. This resource includes 34 different prompt cards to help and encourage students to make conversation. Conversation is a hard skill for our students to master, especially when trying to start one. These prompt cards help to break the ice and encourage your students to feel more supported and confident when starting a conversation. A conversation helps to build relationships between students or even staff. It's also a great way for you to find out more about your students in class - especially if you have many shy students who usually struggle to keep a conversation flowing. The cards are bright and fun to keep students engaged throughout the activity. The prompt cards come in b/w and col. option as well as with UK and US spelling options i.e favorite/favourite. These are fantastic for prompting students to start conversations with each other, especially for morning work, social skills groups etc.

Intervention Sheet by @TeacherToolkit

Intervention Sheet by @TeacherToolkit

This document enables teachers to understand how support fits in with the specific area/s of SEN it is targeting. It has helped to give our interventions greater focus; I encourage teachers to look at their record sheet before each lesson as way of focusing in on the young people. It is also a beneficial tool for sharing information with senior leaders. Staff who are responsible for writing SEN Support Plans can also find it beneficial to use the information on the intervention records to add depth to their plan so that they can write about interventions they do not lead with confidence.

SEND Iceberg Analysis by @TeacherToolkit

SEND Iceberg Analysis by @TeacherToolkit

This is a great tool for using with staff as a discussion point with new learners with SEN needs. It works well in a staff meeting setting, where you can ask staff to work in pairs to brainstorm everything they know about the young person. It gets staff talking, especially if you ensure that you mix people up with someone they don’t normally work with. The benefit for the teacher is that they can then leave the meeting with their colleagues thoughts and strategies so that they can finish the SEN Support Plan. The benefit for all staff, is that they can hear how others perceive the young person.

Australian Money: Halloween Music Store: buying Spooky Youtube Clips

Halloween Music Store - Students can develop their money recognition skills and using money to buy things with these activities. It is the equivalent of the old class shop, but revamped to use the internet to 'purchase' music clips. I have given this music store a Halloween theme as Halloween is always very motivating. It was designed for Secondary students with special needs, but can be easily used for all students. It is an age appropriate Money Math activity for secondary students, where they are motivated to purchase their favourite music. I have included a word document, to help you change the music for your students tastes.
