I have written it with the sentence, the sense, the sensory experience and what I and my TAs are looking for and observing throughout the sessions. Repeat story throughout the term to enable the child to develop anticipation, investigation, awareness, preference and much more. Could also be used in an EYFS KS1 class. MACS Charity Assembly for Primary

MACS Charity Assembly for Primary

Two assemblies which focus on the work done by the MACS charity (Microphthalmia, Anophthalmia and Coloboma Support). MACS is a charity for young people who were born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes, so the assemblies focus on the importance of valuing our vision and how we should treat everyone with respect and without prejudice. The assemblies focus on the work MACS do to help and support young people. One of the assemblies is to raise awareness of the work MACS does and the other is for schools interested in fundraising for the charity. These are especially useful for schools teaching topics on prejudice and discrimination and also schools with a child who uses MACS' services. For more clips and information visit the MACS website: http://macs.org.uk/

This is a simple rhyming song I created for my non verbal Autistic son .

This is a simple animal song that I created to encourage my non verbal son to sing. we have sung it together for many years, he is now 18 .He may not say very much but I found the use of simple songs very good at gaining and getting him to interact with me whilst at the same time teaching him about animals. The lyrics are all written by myself and most of the photos were taken at Busch Gardens. It can be used for with Neuro typical young children also.
