#### KS1 World Cup 2018 Maths Activity

I made this resource for my mixed age year 1/2 class as a whole class maths investigation and they loved it. The World Cup group tables are shown with the scores during the group stage. The children are given a table to complete to find out the points gained for each team in each group. I sorted the children into mixed age pairs and they had to work out the points gained for each team in a particular group. They then had to rank the teams 1st - 4th. My highers worked out the goal differences for Groups B and H as the results were tied. We then made a quick flag for the two successful teams in each group and acted out the 16 play offs to find out who was now in the quarter final. Makes a good display too. I found it quicker to make resource in powerpoint and then print off the slides as the worksheets. Bit rough and ready but it worked. I hope someone else finds this useful!

#### Year 7 Revision Booklet

This Year 7 revision booklet is suitable for low and middle ability students and has a range of questions which cover elements of the following topics: Number skills e.g. addition, division etc. Analysing and displaying data e.g. pictograms, dual bar charts etc. Algebra e.g function machines, collecting like terms, finding the next term in a sequence and finding the nth term Line and angles e.g. angles on a straight line, angles in a triangle wtc. Decimals and measures e.g. converting ml to litres Probability Fractions and percentages - including percentage of amount Ratio and proportion Transformations e.g. reflection, scale factors etc.

#### Venn Diagrams

This was delivered to a low ability year 10 class. It is quite basic and missing some of the more complicated concepts dealing with Venn diagrams. This is a PowerPoint intent on explaining how to fill a Venn Diagram with examples. I tried to include the important things to include when completing a Venn diagram. There are some generic questions contained within the slides. Slides 1-7 were seen on lesson 1 and then I gave the class examples of this type. Slides 8-18 were seen in lesson 2 (after recapping the previous slides) and further examples of this type were given to the class. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as this is my first resource I have uploaded.

#### How Many Animals? - Count and Graph!

**Early Stage 1 - Mathematics - Data ** **Outcomes Addressed: ** MAe-17SP: represents data and interprets data displays made from objects. MAe-1WM: describes mathematical situations using everyday language, actions, materials and informal recordings. MAe-3WM: uses concrete materials and/or pictorial representations to support conclusions. I created this worksheet and used it during my Kindergarten placement. Students were able to work through it independently and was their first attempt of collecting and representing data on their own. **Tips: ** Students might like to cover the animals with counters to assist them in counting. Allocate a colour for each animal; students use that colour to circle/group the ‘like-objects’ (animals) so that they can count them clearly.
