Fictional Planets Wordsearch Science Physics Solar System Starter Settler Homework Cover Lesson

Fictional Planets Wordsearch Science Physics Solar System Starter Settler Homework Cover Lesson

Wordsearch on the theme of 'Fictional Planets'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

Space & Solar System Video Links and Questions

Space & Solar System Video Links and Questions

The activity comes with 4 YouTube video links (entitled: The NASA moon landing, Life on Mars?, Galileo's Story, and Life on a Space Shuttle) along with small-group discussion questions. This activity worked great with my 7th graders and really engaged them in discussions. I would play the video twice and then let them discuss and answer the questions. Complete bilingual Tutorial to learn to teach French to toddlers

Complete bilingual Tutorial to learn to teach French to toddlers

This complete tutorial is designed for educators who want to learn how to teach French to Toddlers, through a range of structured lessons. It includes the link to a 20 minutes tutorial video helping all teachers (even complete French beginners) to teach French to children the best way and develop bilingualism. It comes with a printable teacher's guide. It includes a video of the story, designed as a kind of e-book, together with its printable storybook. There is also another video to introduce the prepositions (behind, in front of, under and above) together with the vocabulary (star, moon and sun). It comes with over 12 back-to-back flashcards to use with a centre of activity on topology (with 4 levels of games- using 1 to 4 new key prepositions). The game is available to print with clear instructions. You will also find printable craft activities to make and act out the story. Finally, I have also added a bilingual Questions/ Answers on early science facts about the stars, the moon and the sun. There are many ideas given on how to precisely extend and differentiate the students learning skills. Learning Objectives: In this tutorial, you will learn how to introduce simple sentences and expressions commonly used by French toddlers. They like repetitive games. Playing "Hide and Seek" help them make a psychological link between being present and absent, himself/ herself and others. Toddlers build a big part of their life through imitation and games. It also develops their creativity. This is why I have build this patterned story. I have also included few words of early science (Earth, star, moon, sun, sky, day, night) and prepositions (behind, in front, under, above, in). I recommend to use this resource preferably with toddlers and young children up to the age of 7. If you feel anything is missing to be entirely satisfied, I will gladly design and add whatever is necessary.

Asteroids, Comets, and Meteors - Complete 5E Lesson Bundle

Product Description Asteroids, Comets, and Meteors 5E Lesson Bundle. Everything you need in one tidy package. This fully-editable, no prep bundle follows the 5E model and provides step-by-step instructions on how to implement it in your classroom. Each included resource is either completely or almost completely self-contained meaning little to no classroom materials are needed. This bundle contains a mix of digital and paper-based resources and encourages collaboration and creativity at every turn. Since 5E lessons provide differentiated instruction in their very nature, your students will complete the unit with a deep understanding of: • Asteroids • Comets • Meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites • Mining comets and asteroids for fuel • How the dinosaurs died • Impacts and craters Your students will also confront and overcome the following misconceptions. • Earth won’t be hit by meteors, asteroids, etc. • Anything that does hit Earth would cause global destruction • A spacecraft couldn’t fly through the asteroid belt without getting destroyed • Shooting stars are really stars • Comets are not part of the solar system • All comets look the same • There is only empty space between the planets How does the 5E model facilitate learning? • It emphasizes inquiry, critical thinking, and the process of science • Its success is backed by countless scientific studies that demonstrate its effectiveness • It’s built around the idea that humans construct knowledge and meaning from their learning experiences. That they build upon their prior knowledge and to be effective, learning needs to be active and allow the participants to construct new knowledge from their experiences
