These revision diagrams are filled in as knowledge organisers to use to help students plan out the answers to the 12 and 16 markers on the later slides. The first five are just knowledge and understanding ones almost like knowledge organisers but then the following ones are set up around 12 and 16 mark exam questions. OCR Tudor Rebellions course How did the Tudors maintain stability? Powerpoint looking at different methods used by Tudors to maintain stability Inlcudes: the Crown, Church, Parliament, Councils and Commissions, JPs etc… Packed with examples with an evaluation task for students to weigh up which were the most important as factors.

Part 2 of my lessons on Maintenance of Stabiity: this lesson looks at different policies used by Tudor Governments to maintain stability in England and Ireland. Detailed examples linked to rebellions to help prepare students for any essays related to how the government responded to rebellion or prevented further unrest using policy changes in both England and Ireland.

These grids are to help students consolidate their knowledge in sufficient depth for their thematic essays. Some students in my experience rely on the same superficial evidence/ factual knowledge to write these essays and even though they are not to write in depth; it is important that they show off their expertise. One grid is from rebel perspective looking at aims, leadership, support, actions threat and one is from government perspective looking at government support, response, impact an reasons for decreased threat etc. Example modelled on the Cornish rebellion.

Edexcel GCSE History Anglo Saxon and Norman England Topic 2: Establishing Control Changes to Landholding In depth examination of the introduction of the Feudal system and changes William introduced to ensure the loyalty of his nobility by making them his tenants -in-chief. Fully resourced. Can use the textbooks but can be taught without.

OCR Alevel 2022 Exam Paper detailed mock feedback powerpoint. This took me 4-5 hours to put together so should save you lots of time! Based on common misconceptions/ errors and mistakes. Can be adapted for other questions/ papers. Questions covered were: 10 marker : Causes of 1905 Revolution 20 marker: Causes of October/ November Revolution AND 10 marker: Causes of Feb/ March Revolution 20 marker: Stalin and control- propaganda vs other factors.

Edexcel GCSE History Superpower Relations and the Cold War Key Topic 2: Escalating Tensions Lesson 1 examines the second Berlin crisis, causes, events and consequences with detail on the summits which followed to try and de-escalate tensions between the USA and USSR Very detailed information on the powerpoint; no textbook or other resources needed- complete lesson which links to the next lesson; the Berlin Wall. Also includes 18 question retrieval quiz (answers on the slide for self/ peer assessment) on the entire topic 1: Origins of the Cold war.

OCR Alevel Tudors Rebellion and Disorder/ Tudor Rebellions This is a lesson on Perkin Warbeck’s rebellion I teach this AFTER the Cornish rebellion even though it technically begins before- this is to group the economic rebs and have them bookended by Dynastic threats and also to show the response to the rebellion when Warbeck lands in Cornwall in Sept and ensure students do not muddle that with the Cornish rebellion of 1497 (early summer) Can be used for any Tudor Rebellions/ Tudors ALevel Very detailed and in depth- all themes covered.

This lesson examines the Amendment process in the US constitution and the pros and cons of it for a debate. Updated with modern examples e.g. a detailed case study showing the evolution of abortion rights issue in USA which can be used to address and discuss the flaws with the blend of vague and specific language. Also includes a colour code of key debates and a detailed case study on the issue of abortion rights and how it has changed since Roe v Wade to illustrate some of the challenges of having a “living” constitution vs Originalism and the blend of specificity and vagueness.

Edexcel Politics ALevel but can be used for AQA This is a double (2 hour) lesson on the Principles and Features of the Constitution. Includes all up to date case studies and examples from the updated Bennett book (2021). Very comprehensive, suitable for new teacher with no knowledge- all informationn and examples included in worksheets and slides. Students to work independently learning about the principles then do some class discussion and evaluation before completing their own “report cards” for the Principles to grade them and justify the grades they have given.
