French Introductions, Classroom Commands and Classroom Objects Half-Term Planning and Resources

This unit of work comprises six lessons and resources including Activ Inspire flipcharts. It teaches students to:

*consolidate and extend chns’ knowledge of greetings in French, including ca va?
*give personal information in French.
*introduce self to class in French and give between 3 and 5 pieces of information.
*understand common classroom instructions in French and respond with the appropriate action.
*recognise key classroom vocabulary.
*learn the French for common classroom objects.

Although this is aimed at Year 4, my students had only basic prior knowledge of French, so this could be aimed at younger or older pupils.

All French is translated, so non French speaking teachers can teach this unit confidently.
