Conceptual learning begins by understanding how to think conceptually and to formulate concept-based questions. These cards are ideal for developing understanding of the IB PYP Key Concepts as well as helping children to focus their thinking and develop higher level questioning skills.
The cards are differentiated for Grades K-2 and Grades 3-6. Each card contains sentence stems for guiding the children’s thinking and structuring their questioning as they formulate their own questions with anything.
Easy to print and keep in a box or a ring on table groups. I prefer to give each child their own set that they keep in their desks for easy access to use at ANY time and for ANY subject. I have seen children referring to the cards for formative assessments and reflections, for setting goals, for developing their own lines of inquiries as well as within literacy and maths.
