A differentiated lesson complete with a 5 minute lesson plan. AFL, engagement and prior learning have all been considered. These lessons are designed to compliment my KS3 student Forces workbook. Each lesson has integrated teacher support and suggestions to assist delivery of the lesson.
Lesson content, timings and strategies have been tried and tested in the classroom with various ability sets to a great success!
In this lesson we begin with retrieval practise and re-cap of calculating average speed and their distance-time graphs before introducing acceleration and deceleration on distance-time graphs. After quick questions in the workbook and a brief detour into time-lapse, we move onto the AQA Activate practical; “Investigating the motion of a car on a ramp”. A reminder of a hypothesis and the variables are needed before students collect data and present it on a graph.
