Non -Fiction extract linked to Golding's Lord of the Flies study

A Speaking and Listening lesson for year 8s who will analyse a non-fiction extract about the survivors of the Andes plane crash (who to stay alive, ate one of their own dead), before listing arguments for or against eating human flesh in order to survive.

The learning activity involves students reading and analysing the non-fiction text before discussing arguments for or against, and then building an oral presentation.

Can be used by KS3 or KS4 as practice for non-fiction text analysis.
