Refugee Week Activities - suitable for an assembly, tutor time or lesson

The Power Point contains a brief overview of displacement and the situation in Northern France. It is followed by a number of lesson plans. From short sessions to extended projects - there is something suitable for all. These are intended to get students exploring ideas about sovereignty, nationality, responsibility, diversity and identity. Project Play believes that educating children from an early age supports an inclusive multicultural society.

The second pack is for teachers. It includes many FAQs which should support a teacher in confidently answering student questions and clear up any misconceptions. We recommend reading this before using the lesson resources.

This Power Point was created by the charity Project Play. Project Play provides play and education to displaced children living in Northern France. To find out more about Project Play’s work please go to www.project-play.org. Alternatively, if you would like to support Project Play and allow us to continue to provide these children with access to play and education then please email partnerships@project-play.org.
