An Excel grid that uses the Ros Wilson Big Writing Assessment standards (updated for 2016 expectations) to assess pupil performance against the new Age Related Expectation criteria. Instructions for use are on the notes page and I hope they are completely self explanatory. If not I have failed, not for the first time! Hope they save people a bit of time.
Just to answer a couple of questions. I have not done a similar spreadsheet for Big Read. The E, D and S grades do mean Emerging, Developing and Secure. I believe the rough %age for E is up to 33% and D up to 66%. There are some (grey) criteria that are non-negotiable standards and these do not count towards the %age grading.
