German Easter/Spring colour by maths

A colour by number but with a difference - colour by maths - ideal for Year 7 or for primary. There are both Easter sheets and some srpring based ones too. I’ve used some lovely sheets from another person and converted them into German. A great way to practice colours but also to incooperate numeracy.

Olympics / Die Olympischen Spielen Activities on Grammar and Vocab

Olympics / Die Olympischen Spielen Activities on Grammar and Vocab

A set of resources originally made for the London 2012 Olympics but now with an updated powerpoint for the Rio 2016 Olympics. The powerpoints contain presentations of many of the key sports, along with more complex slides in the latter half which provide instruction and tasks on the conditional and giving reasons (i.e. using da/obwohl/weil). The ´short version´ powerpoint contains the key sports but instead of a complex set of instructions about the conditional and connectives, is limited to using ´denn´ instead of more difficult connectives. The ´short version´ is also included as a PDF for ease alternative use/printing.

Die Olympischen Spiele 2016 Rio

Die Olympischen Spiele 2016 Rio

Powerpoint which presents key vocabulary to do with sports at the Olympics, as well as pushing students to write complex, then very complex, sentences about why they might want to (not) see certain events or visit the games. Should cover a whole lesson, depending on your lesson length and what else you do, of course, hence I´ve put it as a whole lesson, rather than a presentation. Note - this is adapted (only slightly!) from the version already on here that I made for the London 2012 Olympics, so you might recognise a lot of it!

Numbers practice in German from 1-31

Numbers practice in German from 1-31

4 puzzles/crosswords: 2 that cover and practise the numbers 1 - 12. The first quite simply do you know the number? If yes, fill it in, in German in the crossword. The second, still 1 - 12, but this time anagrams of the German numbers to solve. 2 that cover numbers 13 - 31. The first that is simply translating the number into German and filling in the crossword. The second - more of a challenge! Sums, using the German words - with the student having to do the sum and then write the answer, in German, in the crossword.
