Colour Count 2D Shapes Activity Cards - EYFS/Reception/Year 1

Colour Count 2D Shapes Activity Cards - EYFS/Reception/Year 1

This resource relates to counting 2D shapes of different colours. It is a 3-in-1 product that covers the early learning of colours, shapes and basic counting up to 10. Each page contains the same shapes but they are different colours. An ideal resource for children to practise colour recognition, 2D shapes and counting. Ideally, each sheet should be laminated and used with a dry-erase pen. Children count the shapes that are the same colour and then write the number in the space provided. Shapes used are: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, diamond/rhombus and pentagon. Extension opportunity: Some children can count beyond 10 and even 20 in Reception and Year 1, so once they have written down the number of shapes that are the same colours, they can then add the two numbers together to find the total number of, e.g., squares. Please see preview pane for sample of products. Circle theorem and algebra

Circle theorem and algebra

Few questions I wrote where students have to set up and solve equations, using their knowledge of circle theorems. Please note on the handwritten sheet, I made a mistake. One of the cyclic quadrilaterals and simultaneous equations does not work, the equations are parallel. I usually sell it as “I have made one deliberate mistake”

Year 1 planning & resources to support Year 1 White Rose Summer Block 4 - Place Value to 100

Year 1 Maths - Summer Block 4 - Place Value to 100. One week worth of planning covering ‘counting to 100’ and ‘partitioning numbers’. This is week 1 of 4 weeks planning. All planning and resources including non-routine problem solving. Please note the problem solving lesson is on the theme of addition as I wanted to recap this with my children. Please note - the ‘teaching slides’ are not my own. They are free slides that can be downloaded on ‘Master the Curriculum’. I have included them here as they are the slides I have referred to in my planning. Thank you.
