Full descriptions can be found under the heading of each individual resource. Key ideas:- The sum of the interior angles of a polygon is (n-2)x180 where n is the number of sides. The sum of the interior angles of a polygons is nx180 where n is the number of triangles within the polygon. The sum of the exterior angles of a polygon is 360. The size of one exterior angle of a regular polygon is 360 divided by the number of sides. The number of sides of a regular polygon can be found by dividing 360 by one exterior angle. Students need produce two expressions for the area of the surface of my Christmas dinner table – one with brackets and one without. They are presented with two expressions, one for the length and one for the width of the table. To find the first expression (with brackets), they need to apply the formula for the area of a rectangle i.e. multiply length by width. These brackets can then be expanded to produce a second expression for the area of the table. This is a PowerPoint Presentation so it can be easily displayed on the board and/or printed for students.
