I am an experienced Phonics teacher, who has recently started teaching Phonics to ESL preschoolers. I quickly discovered that a lot of my resources were unsuitable for children who do not have English as their first language, and at the same time I needed to adapt lessons to be taught remotely.
I plan to share resources that I currently use. If you see anything that you would like to use, but with different sounds then please contact me and I will try my best to produce an adapted version.

This cut and paste activity is designed to be used when teaching the “qu” digraph. The student colours the “qu” picture squares and then cuts them out and glues them onto the quilt.
This activity sheet only contains the “qu” pictures because the sorting between “qu” and “cr” has already been achieved in the interactive powerpoint activity.
Vocabulary: squid, queen, square, quail, equals, quack, squash, quilt, squirrel and question.

Are you looking for an activity for your class to complete at the start of the school year? Or perhaps a new student is joining your class and you would like to get to know their likes and dislikes.
I actually used this worksheet with my class at the beginning of the school year and then again at the start of term 2. It was useful to note differences in friendship groups, how likes and dislikes change.
