This handy pentatonic pyramid is a great reference for finding the notes you need for a 5 note pentatonic scale. G major and C major scales included in sheet music format. The composition activity allows children to choose their note to add to the grid, from a choice of 5 notes. This can then be played on glockenspiels, keyboards, boomwhackers, recorders, ocarinas or other tuned instruments. The children travel on an imaginary journey to Pitch Castle, meet the King and Queen of Clefs, and learn about high and low sounds.
