A clear and concise reference guide to the German tenses, the subjunctive mood and the passive voice - including word order for negatives and reflexive verbs and separable prefixes. Particularly suitable for higher level GCSE and A Level students who want to be able to express their own ideas, but who struggle to remember the rules for each tense. Slide 1 = Simple tenses - present, imperfect and compound tenses with werden - future and conditional. Gives usage, formation of stem, endings, irregulars and word order for negatives and reflexive verbs and separable prefixes. Slide 2 = Compound tenses with haben or sein - perfect, pluperfect and future perfect tenses - usage, full declension of haben and sein, formation of past participles. Also includes common irregulars, verbs that take sein and word order for negatives and reflexive verbs and separable prefixes. Slide 3 = Passive voice and Konjuntiv I - usage, formation and word order for past present and future tenses. Slide 4 = Konjunktiv II - includes formation and usage for weak and strong verbs in the present and past, common forms and word order. Slide 5 = Word order examples for all the above tenses, voices and moods for sentences with subject first, something else first and after a subordinating conjunction.

They are presented individually on single slides and as core and stretch combined and challenge and super challenge combined and with all 4 levels on one slide for mixed ability use. The categories on the grids reflect the headings/boxes on my GCSE Essentials Learning Mats. Core and Stretch reflect the expectations of GCSE Foundation Level (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-french-essentials-learning-mat-foundation-12043959) and Challenge and Super Challenge are aimed at Higher Level candidates (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-french-essentials-learning-mat-higher-12043962). Pupils start with either a noun (le foot) or a noun and verb (jouer au foot) then use the grids to add to and uplevel the sentence.
