Das Leben der Anderen - Booklet TO COMPLETE

(0)
A 32 page booklet for pupils to complete on Das Leben der Anderen by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. Includes pages to fill in with information about the main characters, key themes, cinematography and an analysis of 10 key scenes. Characters pages include descriptions and examples from the film, their role in the film, links to the main themes and how they change through the course of the film. Themes pages include humanity, power, the power of art, life in a dictatorship and what it means to be a good person. There are spaces for pupils to fill in key information on all they know and to cross reference the themes, characters and cinematography. Some parts are left deliberately blank for pupils to add their own ideas. Can be used alongside teaching to complete as a booklet to revise from or as a revision tool to see how much they know and where there are gaps in their knowledge. I printed as an A5 booklet and the students really liked the idea of having all their notes in one place. Please note - this is a booklet for students to complete and not a guide with answers. I’ve also created similar for Un Long Dimanche de Fiancailles and Die Verwandlung. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/die-verwandlung-booklet-to-complete-11940894 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/un-long-dimanche-de-fiancailles-booklet-to-complete-11856723

They are presented individually on single slides and as core and stretch combined and challenge and super challenge combined and with all 4 levels on one slide for mixed ability use. Core and Stretch reflect the expectations of GCSE Foundation Level (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-french-essentials-learning-mat-foundation-12043959) and Challenge and Super Challenge are aimed at Higher Level candidates (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-french-essentials-learning-mat-higher-12043962). French Skimming and Scanning Challenge -My House

(3)
A fun activity that can be used as a starter or plenary over and over again. It is a page of words including rooms, prepositions, colours, adjectives, numbers, and months. Pupils race each other to skim and scan the sheet to find 3,5 or 8 of the words given. Suggestions for groups of words by topic and sound are given on a separate sheet. The coloours of the words do not mean anything in particular - they just help pupils to distinguish the individual words. Can be used on a whiteboard as a whole class activity where all play against each other, or in pairs. Pupils can write the words they find on mini-whiteboards, or tick off on the sheet. If doing this, it is a good idea to laminate to wipe off and use over and over.
