The department is consistently among the best results in the school with strong P8 and attainment scores. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on resources, good or bad, I'm always looking to improve, please review!

AQA GCSE RE RS - Theme B: Religion and Life - WHOLE UNIT (6 lessons)

I focus the majority of this unit on Christianity as there is enough diversity to fulfill the exam requirements. However, it does still include Islam when appropriate. This lesson contains lots of information slides, ideal for home learning/revision. Easily adaptable into active learning strategies for your teaching style. There are videos embedded using the web player app. You need to click to activate the plug in on the embed. Sometimes they don’t work but normally reloading the PPT solves the problem! Also including the key words booklet to go with the unit. Lesson 1: Origins of the Universe Lesson 2: Value of the world Lesson 3: The Environment and Pollution Lesson 4: Use of Animals Lesson 5: Abortion Lesson 6: Euthanasia

AQA GCSE RE RS - Christianity Beliefs - Complete Unit - 9 Lessons

11 Resources
This is a full unit for the 9-1 AQA GCSE RS course. Please consult individual lesson pages (uploaded individually) for detail on each. The lessons are designed to be taught as doubles but are easily adaptable to squeeze into shorter periods (as I do because we have an odd timetable) I recommend doing them in this order, the lessons are as follows: Lesson 1: Nature of God Lesson 2: The Trinity Lesson 3: Creation Lesson 4: Incarnation and Son of God Lesson 5: The crucifixion Lesson 6: Resurrection and ascension Lesson 7: Sin, Salvation and Atonement Lesson 8: Heaven and Hell Lesson 9: Problem of Evil I’ve also included the keywords revision card game. Many of the lessons have timers and videos embedded, the videos take a few seconds to load, if they don’t work simply reopen the power point. I’ve kept the pricing low, all of us work hard for our money. Thank you!

AQA GCSE RS - 4 Marriage- Theme A Relationships and Families

This lesson focuses mainly on Christianity and looks at marriage and it’s value for Christians. It thinks about the nature and purpose of marriage for Christians. You can’t teach this without touching on the difficulty of homosexual marriage for Christians, this idea is explored in previous lessons but comes up again here. There are a couple videos, one is a nice one of the recent royal wedding, I found my students went all gushy and it was a nice moment as a class. The activity associated is about spotting the symbolism and understanding what it says about the beliefs.

Natural Moral Law Aquinas Year 12 -13 A Level

A level lesson on Aquinas' Natural Moral Law, originally used as a revision lesson but easily works for a standard lesson, probably enough content to run over 2-3 hours of teaching on. Based on the new AQA A level but caters well enough for previous exam boards specs. Content covers key elements such as: Background/history Key features (absolutist/deontological) Theory - Telos, Eudaimonia 4 Laws Precepts Interior/exterior acts Double effect. PLEASE REVIEW :)

AQA GCSE RE RS - Christianity Beliefs - L7 Sin, Salvation and Atonement

This is a fairly packed lesson trying to cover all the ground on these topics. It starts with getting an understanding of sin and its real problem, then goes on to look at the need for a saviour before finally identifying Jesus as that saviour in Christian thought. There are a couple highly informative videos (the you tube channel has lots more good ones I highly recommend it) if they don’t work reload the power point and give it time to load. Punctuated within are a number of questions as well as a detailed info sheet that could be used for multiple activities.

Critical RE Skills lesson year 7 introduction to Religious Education

This is part of a unit introducing RE and the skills and process of doing it. There is a card sort for the skills in RS open ended differentiation. There is also an activity around building arguments, we didn't get to this in 45 minute lessons but it is there as an option. There is also the syllogism game I developed, this is great fun with my year 9s and some of the absurdities generated can be hilarious!

Asking ultimate questions Critical RE year 7

This is a lesson on Critical Religious Education (Critical realism) It is about exploring worldviews and understanding everyone is starting in different places, the homework would be to ask the questionnaire to someone else. The questions are adapted from the work of the CRE team at King's College London - Credit to them for the rational and concepts of this SOW.

AQA RS RE 12 Mark question plan/ proforma

This is what I've started using with my exam classes. We're using FFAACE for the structure of the answer For For (religious) Against Against (religious) Conclude & Evaluate The idea is that at least two arguments should be religious rather than just sociological or other. We are using PEEEL for each paragraph Point Evidence Explanation Evaluation Link (to question) If all students follow this pattern then it should make it easier for them and bring their grade up as they will inevitably meet the criteria for the higher levels. thanks for looking!
