Multiplication challenge sheet which I use as a starter once a week in Year 3. Chn have to answer all questions correctly in three mins to move onto the next challenge/multiplication table. I also get the chn to peer mark this activity. Edit for your preferred table by using Ctrl and F, and replace the ‘z&’ with your chosen table. Can also add additional lines to tables or shorten the time to add challenge higher in KS2.

I used these grids when I was training in a year 5 class and again in year 6. The children loved the challenge and the progression onto the next level. Year 3 Science - Food and Our Bodies All planning and resources for a half term of science. We used the Rising Stars planning as a basis but this is our own school's fomat of lesson planning. Our school has a focus on pre-assessing the children and reducing the number of worksheets used. We use stickers to print LOs and plenary questions onto, however you could put these on paper for children to stick into their workbooks.

A week’s worth of resources for reading in Year 6 based on The Shark Caller by Zillah Bethell. Powerpoint draws attention to new vocabulary prior to reading during each day of the week. Text split into different days to link with vocabulary and comprehension questions. Order of teaching: Monday - share and read own class novel Tuesday - shared reading and guided comprehension questions Wednesday - shared reading and comprehension questions Thursday - independent reading and comprehension Friday - share and read own class novel
