Who it’s for Teachers doing a recap with KS3 students about the topic : “Je me présente” What’s included A reading about Julie. She introduces herself, her parents, her brother and talk about school, and what she does after school. Exercises (3) and a writing to do. For students with low ability, I have underlined the words they need to change. Correction for all the exercises and a suggestion on how to correct the writing. Learning objectives Analyse and recognise words and sentences from the topic Use words they know or new words into their own writing Comprehend that words expressing opinions and other grammar points are important. It shows their understanding of the language and their ability. Produce a similar type of text about them differentiation opportunities When evaluating the answers to the questions, you can allow just words or sentences depending on the level of the students. I also underlined words that the students need to change to adapt the writing. Curriculum : All Practical tips Could be used as an end of term exam, or part of an end of year exam. I wouldn’t advise to give the full activity as a homework as students may need some guidance on the writing.

Future Tense in French - Revision and Exercises

This document contains 4 pages. The correction is included. It would be good for teachers who would like to recap the tense and add a little bit of practice. For Year 7 and Year 8, this worksheet would be a good practice. (It would take more or less 40 minutes to complete depending on the level of your students) It would be a good revision for students in Year 9. (That would take you about more or less 20 minutes to go through it) There is a short explanation on the tense structure including the two verbs/auxiliaries “être” and “avoir”. There are three exercises provided with correction. The correction is provided in a different Word document so teachers can either give it as a homework including the answers or not. The document does not include a topic in particular, the sentences are accessible to all students from Year 7 onwards. I believe that students would required minimum help from their teacher. Students should be able to work independently on this worksheet.

Great resources to show the different -ir verbs in French. The correction is also provided. It can be used for a lesson or as a homework. Great homeschoolers. I used it with my online students and it works well as there is enough support for them to work on the exercises on their own.

Voix active et voix passive - KS4 - Grammaire - Lesson - Exercises

(0)
Who it is for: Teachers who would like to introduce the active and passive voice to their students. The lesson as well as the exercises were thought to gradually understand the grammar point and practice with leveled exercises. What’s included: Infographics with a recap of the grammar point Worksheet (leveled) with 10 exercises in total in Word document and PDF The sentences used for each exercise are themed. In the worksheet, you can find these themes: Healthy Food, Food, Employment in France, Festivals, Shopping, Travels, and School. Why is it useful: For any types of curriculum, the passive or active voices come in exams. I find it very useful for AS Level students taking their exam with CIE, as they are asked to rephrase sentences in which this grammar point often appears. Learning objectives: Understand the sentence structure and the grammatical terms Recognise the passive and active voice Analyse the sentence structure Comprehend the pattern of the sentence transformation Produce sentences in the active and passive voice Rephrase from active to passive and passive to active Differentiation opportunities: Levelled activities Use of colours to show the sentence structure in the active and passive voice Infographic that students can use for practice Curriculum: CIE NC Language B (IB) Practical tips: I would recommend assisting the students during the lesson even if the activities can be done independently. The colour documents are better but I completely understand if you cannot print colour for an entire class! You can display it on an interactive whiteboard too! You have a full lesson with all the resources. Finally, please leave a review or a comment on how it went with your students! Enjoy the resource :) Also available for a reduced price on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/lhlanguages/shop/?rt=19

Les Gilets Jaunes - Reading Comprehension and Speaking

It is good for students with good French reading and speaking skills, as it talks about the current French movement : the Yellow Vests. **Included : ** A reading comprehension about the Yellow Vests. A vocabulary search from the text. (Vocabulary that the students can re-use in their speaking and writing) A true and false exercise. The learning objectives : Comprehend the actual situation of France. Identify where the problems are coming from/ what the problems are. Examine and investigate how we can solve the problems. Other information: I also recorded myself reading the text so the students have a better idea on how to pronounce some of the words they might not be sure about. There is also a video that I uploaded. It is also a good exercise for your students as it shows different “messages” that they can analyse. (Some of the photos are repeated in the video) This exercise is excellent for: (i)GCSE and GCSE students with high abilities AS Level A Level Ab Initio Language B This exercise matches all types of curricula as it is part of the “Economic and Social Development” of France. Practical tips : Some of the questions in exercise 2 can be used as a speaking task. Exercise 1 can be done with or without a dictionary.

Who it’s for: I created an infographic as well as exercises on the present perfect tense in French. It is very good for teachers starting to introduce this tense to their students or just want to do a recap grammar lesson. After the first exercise together, they could go through the others on their own. **Included : ** Infographic about the present perfect tense in French Infographic (poster) about the present perfect tense in French 10 exercises on a Word document (leveled) Correction is included This exercise is excellent for: Year 8 - 9 - 10 (i)GCSE and GCSE students Ab Initio Language B This exercise matches all types of curricula . Les élections présidentielles en France 2022

The lesson is for students who have a good command/understanding of the French language. I would suggest advanced students of iGCSE French, AS Level, and even A Level. I wanted students to have a clear understanding of the different parties in the French political system and to be able to talk about the upcoming elections. Students will understand what parties are running, what their general ideologies are, and will talk or write about what they understood from them. They will become familiar with terms used in the French administration when it comes to voting. They will read and be assessed on their understanding on how the vote functions in France. Students will have the opportunity to present their ideas on politics but also in different areas. It can be an oral presentation followed by a debate between students for example. I wanted the students to be able to prepare a monologue as this can be a topic they might want to choose for an oral examination such as the iGCSE or even AS Level. They will have the vocabulary to do so as they will have a good understanding of all the parties. There is a basic grammar point, further explaining the comparative and the superlative. Please be aware that there is not a full explanation on it, I just give examples of sentences for students to remember how to structure the grammar point. Students will be able to analyse and make sentences with the statistics provided, using the grammar points: the comparative and the superlative. The document contains 18 pages in a PDF format. There is also a Word document called “Correction” where I write answers for two exercises. The main idea for this resource is for students to understand the elections in 2022 and be able to talk about it. More resources will follow on the topic as we get to this political event.
