A lesson on Volume of 3D Shapes, starting with cuboids and progressing up to triangular prisms and cylinders. There are activities built in which support the lessons. In addition to this, there is a worksheet to help support pupils who need more practice on the topic. A series of lessons on using trigonometry in right angled triangles to solve problems. Lesson was originally designed for a top set year 9 class so goes from very basic through to more difficult problems involving application of the rules. There are many activities included at the start / throughout / end of the powerpoint to be used when appropriate. These lessons are combination of my own / adapted from other TES users / worksheets. These a serious of activities I have designed / adapted in my role as Financial Maths co-ordinator at my school. You can find the sessions for Year 7 in my resources also. The aim of the lessons is to deepen students thinking about Vectors introduce the ideas around parallel and perpendicular vectors and finding resultants. There is some Vectors with Geometry questions at the end which are not very difficult. Pupils would need to go on and attempt exam style questions are this series of lessons.
