These excellent resources work perfectly in any media studies classroom! I have used these posters as wall displays, learning mats and hand outs when students are completing classwork/ coursework. My students find them incredibly helpful during lessons especially during assessment/ coursework and revision work. **The documents include: ** An introduction to Audience (Mass, Niche, Primary + Secondary target audience, demographic and psychometrics). A guide to audience theories (VALS and Young and Rubicam). Audience theories (Audience positioning, Stuart Halls Encoding and Decoding theory). A guide to Uses and Gratification Theory A guide to Representation A guide to Todorov’s Narrative Theory (Including clear example, Monsters Inc) A guide to Propp’s Character Theory Magazine Terminology I remember being taught media studies at GCSE and A Level and wished I had resources like this to support me when completing assessment work. I hope your students enjoy them to. Leave a review and any suggestions for new learning mats and I’ll continue to plan and develop these resources.

It’s 22 pages and will form an teaching and revision guide The workbook takes the students through the who what and why - and with the PPTS should get them ready to answer some questions as well as provide a solid introduction to the satire of the film, the context and filming. There are three PPTs ** see uodates now 5+ - the longest is aimed at film, but can work with an English subject eg the NZ curriculm and will fit into an extended media study of film The two worksheets are to support film viewing for any of the subjects as the teacher can select the emphasis The longer PPT has a research task, an end of module essay. A Level Media Studies - Theories and Theorists Knowledge Organiser

(3)
A revision resource for A Level Media Studies focused on the WJEC Eduqas specification and the theorists listed in the exam board Teaching Guides. I encourage my students to highlight the sections on the sheet as we cover the material. It also serves as a basis for checking knowledge later on. It is designed to fit on a single side of A4 paper, though it scales decently to A3 for displaying. The two-page resource summarises each theoretical viewpoint briefly and organises the theorists according to the appropriate theoretical framework. This resource pairs reasonably well with the A Level Media Studies - Exams Structure and Theories knowledge organiser available on the store. Both the .pdf and the .pub are included so that you can customise it to your teaching groups.
